California State University, Bakersfield (AV) is located on the same block as Antelope Valley College. You can earn the following teaching credentials without ever leaving the AVC campus:

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is located 54 miles south of AVC. You can earn the following teaching credentials there:
- Multiple Subject (TK-6th grade)
- Single Subject (7th-12th grade)
- Education Specialist:
- Teaching students who are deaf and hard of hearing; authorizes service to individuals from birth to age 22.
- (1) mild/moderate support needs, and (2) extensive support needs.
- Serving children with mild, moderate, severe, or multiple impairments, and their families; authorizes service from birth through pre-kindergarten.
- Specialist
- This credential authorizes Reading assessment services in public schools. The holder serves as a literacy leader and may provide mentor services, staff development and other literacy services. Prerequisite credential is a Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist credential.
