A Confirmation WELCOME EMAIL  will be sent to your personal email containing your AVC Student ID # [900#], email and temporary password

Log into your MyAVC and access your AVC Email account [Outlook, not Google]

Create a Profile in DE.COM [Save Log-in & Password Information] 
Electronic Consent required from both your High School and Parent/Guardian - make sure you select the correct school and provide the correct contact information 
   
STEP 4IEP / 504 PLAN 
If you receive academic accommodations at your high school through an IEP/504 Plan, complete an office of Students with Disabilities Office ApplicationOSD Office
   
STEP 5Dual Enrollment CANVAS Registration 
Register for Dual Enrollment CANVAS and watch the Orientation Video [Mandatory]

  • You’re in 9th–12th grade
  • You attend one of our partner high schools
  • You were enrolled in a Dual Enrollment course during the most recent semester

  2. ENROLL in courses via DualEnroll.com

Dual Enrollment Registration Timeline - FALL

  • May 15 – June 14 🟢 Priority Registration (Asynchronous & In-Person Courses, Available only at your high school)
  • June 15 – August 1 🔵 Open Registration – Asynchronous Courses (District-Wide Access)
  • June 15 – August 1 🔵 Open Registration – In-Person Courses (Limited to your high school)

Dual Enrollment Registration Timeline - SPRING

  • Nov 1 – Nov 30 🟢 Priority Registration (Asynchronous & In-Person Courses, Available only at your high school)
  • Dec 1 – Jan 20 🔵 Open Registration – Asynchronous Courses (District-Wide Access)
  • Dec 1 – Jan 20 🔵 Open Registration – In-Person Courses (Limited to your high school)

✅ New/Returning Dual Enrollment Student

💡 You’re considered a new or returning student if:
  • ✔️ You’ve completed at least one semester of high school (9th–12th grade)
  • ✔️ You attend one of our partner high schools
  • ✔️ You’ve never taken a Dual Enrollment course or it’s been more than one semester since your last Dual Enrollment class
  1. Get Approval to Participate:

    ➤ Speak with your High School Counselor or Advisor as well as your Parent/Guardian for permission to participate.

  2. Parent/Guardian Consent:

    ➤ Ensure your Parent/Guardian completes the electronic approval.

  3. Complete Your AVC College Application:

  4. Apply for Financial Aid:

    ➤ Complete the California Promise Grant or California Dream Act application.

  5. Complete the Online Orientation:

    ➤ Log into myAVC using the login info emailed to you after your application was submitted.

  6. Create a DualEnroll.com Profile:

    ➤ Set up your student account to access your course dashboard.

  7. Enroll in Courses on DualEnroll.com:

  8. Parent/Guardian Consent:

    ➤ Ensure your Parent/Guardian completes the electronic approval via DualEnroll.com

✅ Dual Enrollment Curious

💡 You’re considered a Dual Enrollment Curious if:
  • ✔️ You’re a graduating 8th grader or first-semester 9th grader
  • ✔️ You’ve heard about the program but still have questions (student or parent)
  • ✔️ You attend a high school that isn’t a current partner, but you’re still interested in taking college courses
