Nope! It's ALL FREE.
While both programs allow high school students to take college courses, there are important differences:
Dual Enrollment students take college classes that count toward both high school and college credit simultaneously. These courses are typically approved through a partnership between the high school and college, helping students accelerate their educational goals while earning credits in both systems.
Special Admit students are high school students who enroll in college courses independently. While they earn college credit, the courses may not automatically count toward high school graduation requirements unless approved by their high school counselor or district.
Dual Enrollment is available to eligible high school students who want to get a head start on their college education while still completing their high school requirements. Students must typically be enrolled in a participating high school and meet the college's admissions and enrollment requirements.
Through Dual Enrollment, students can take approved college courses that count toward both high school graduation and future college degree or certificate programs. This opportunity allows students to explore academic interests, build college-level skills, and earn valuable college credits before graduating from high school.
