Mission and Purpose

Mission

To provide structure, guidance and support to AVC employees as they evaluate their program(s)/area(s) and identify goals. 

Purpose

To review and refine the program review process to improve student learning, student achievement and institutional effectiveness.  Committee responsibilities include: 

  • Create and make available the procedures for the program review process and provide training.
  • Receive and critically review reports, forwarding suggestions for improvement of the report to the division/area through a peer review process.
  • Provide support for continuous process improvement with Academic Senate oversight.
