Fall Learning Center Hours

Are you looking for extra support or to reinforce what you learned in class? The Learning Center offers academic support services across all disciplines. Let us help you make the semester a success!

In the Learning Center, you can:

  • Get peer-tutoring support in small groups, individual appointments, Supplemental Instruction workshops, and even drop in to meet with a tutor!
  • Attend a faculty-led workshop in Math, Academic Study Skills, Communication Studies, and Writing. Please come if you'd like to work with faculty in a smaller group setting for more individualized assistance.
  • Check out study items, such as laptops, headphones, media, textbooks, study supplies, and more.
  • Just study! We have a large open study space and computer lab so you can study independently or meet here with your study group. 

However you prefer to study, the Learning Center is open and available for you!

The Learning Center offers both in-person and online peer tutoring.

Students are able to see a tutor face-to-face during tutoring hours or can make an appointment. For virtual assistance, students must make an appointment using the links. Please refer to the appointment links below to view tutor availability by subject.

A 30-minute appointment can be requested, no more that 12 hours in advance, or students can stop by during tutoring hours for help.

We are accepting applications for all subjects, but have a high need for tutors for the following:

  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Math - All Levels

Learning Center - Academic Skills & Communication Support

The Learning Center helps students develop academic skills that enhance their ability to succeed in college. These skills range from time management and test preparation to public speaking and AI usage. Learning Center and Communication Studies faculty work with students in individual appointments and scheduled workshops to assess their needs and help them build their academic skills.

Learning Center faculty and experienced peer tutors provide academic support and workshops to help students develop math learning and study skills, assist students with homework assignments and test preparation, and clarify complex topics.

The Learning Center offers services to support any of your academic writing needs, including writing assignments in any discipline, personal statements, and transfer applications. What is The Learning Center? 

The Learning Center is here to help students "study smarter, not harder." Enrolled students can receive tutorial assistance for most classes as well as assistance in analyzing their learning styles and improving their study skills. Peer tutors work with students individually and in small groups to both understand the course material and learn new study strategies.
